Ewww...

I watched this video, thought it was a joke, laughed, then realized it was for real, and threw up in my mouth a little bit...

Is anybody buying this? Do people really think that Ashton Kutcher, Nicole Ritchie, Jaime Pressley, Anthony Kiedis, P. Diddy (and the list goes on) are fit to be the spokespeople of morality, responsibility, and patriotism? (Besides maybe Josh Groban and one or two other real americans in the video) Who can take this seriously? Where the hell have these people been for the last 8 years? Are they only now deciding that they love their country and that service is good?
While they've been off singing and rapping and making movies/TV shows about sex, drugs, and trashy lifestyles, the rest of us have been busy all along trying to be good citizens, helping out our neighbors, and standing behind our country through a rough few years. We pledged a long time ago to do our best to do what's right whether we like our president or not. But since you asked me to, Will.i.am, I will make a new pledge today. I pledge to not listen to "My Humps," or any of your other substance-less music, or to watch your trashy shows, Ashton. I pledge to not buy your crap and your fake activism, to steer clear of your hypocritical attitude and to love and serve my country not just because its the popular thing to do all of a sudden.
Today, I leave you with a quote from, ironically, Kid Rock. He said "I truly believe that people like myself, who are in a position of entertainers in the limelight, should keep their mouth shut on politics. Because at the end of the day, I'm good at writing songs and singing. What I'm not educated in, is the field of political science."
Wow. A celebrity giving good political advice. Now that is rare.
